In systems such as large platform scales, 3- or 4-legged tanks, and massive truck weighbridges, a single load cell is insufficient to carry and measure the total weight. In these applications, multiple load cells must be connected in parallel. This is exactly where the J-Box comes into play.

Why Should You Use a J-Box?

Precise Corner Balancing (Trimming): No matter how high-quality the load cells are, minor measurement variances can occur at each corner due to manufacturing production tolerances or the platform's mechanical imbalances. Thanks to the precise potentiometers (adjustable resistors) inside it, the J-Box equalizes the output signal of each load cell. As a result, no matter where the load is placed on the platform, the system always reads an equal and accurate weight.

IP67 Sealing Protection: Dust, humidity, water splashes, and chemicals in harsh industrial environments can easily damage exposed cable joints. Featuring a rugged enclosure and robust cable glands with a high IP67 protection rating, the J-Box completely seals and insulates sensitive signal connections from external factors.

An End to Cable Clutter: By consolidating the complex bundle of cables originating from multiple load cells into a single central junction, it allows you to run just one single shielded cable back to the control panel. This drastically minimizes the risk of electrical noise and interference.
